Medical research shows that the benefits of biofeedback may include the following:
The iNDIGO™ Biofeedback System utilizes five comfortable, conductive straps with sensors that measure Electro Dermal Response (EDR) on the wrist, forehead and ankles. These subtle changes of moisture and temperature on the skin measure the body’s degree of stress and relaxation.
In approximately five minutes, valuable information about the client’s stress is recorded. Their response to over 11,000 subtle stress related signatures and physiological parameters are also recorded. These findings allow the client to better understand their reactions to stress and to learn how to better control them.
The client’s own physiology reveals the insight needed to understand and address imbalances. In this way, the iNDIGO™ Biofeedback System can reconnect clients to their own inner knowing. They become more empowered in their process of identifying where to make lifestyle change and which specific stress reactions to manage.
How many sessions are needed?
Biofeedback is an entrainment process. It may take the body multiple sessions to entrain or “relearn” healthier patterns. Some people respond very quickly, especially those whose lifestyle choices are already aligned with good health. Others may need more education, training and support around improving nutrition, exercise and other lifestyle choices. Generally speaking, the longer a client has held certain stress patterns which are causing them pain or illness, the more sessions they may need to begin re-balancing or re-training those patterns and reactions. It is recommended that client’s make a commitment to their health by investing in multiple sessions in order to achieve lasting results.
